Shifting now to the Aquarian Age, ruled by the 7th Ray of Creation, there is a totally opposite cosmic influence now driving us: we are to let go of our attachment to gurus and outer influences, and turn inward, called to recognize and birth the genius within ourselves. In this Age, for the Initiate, knowledge-based wisdom is superseded by intuitive wisdom, which is inclusive participation in the creative activity of Divinity. Our three higher cognitions open and will be honored, even by science — the creative imagination, inspiration and intuition. The 7th Ray teaches us that, as daughters and sons of God, the true authority lives within each of us, and that the expression of our own talents is the most sacred act we can employ. The 7th Ray brings forth a new order in the human kingdom, one where each individual walks the earth as a true Self, a representative of God-in-form. This is the Ray of Self-empowerment as it extracts the life force from within each individual, separates "the wheat from the chaff", and organizes it into its most refined and proper use. Used wrongly, its dark side would be egoism, isolation, and black magic.

Can you imagine what our world would be like if each one of us learned to live as the truly authentic Self that God envisions us to be? Such spiritual gifts would abound! And all jealousy, possessiveness, competitiveness, and feelings of isolation or need for war would dissipate in the face of each person's realization of one's own divine uniqueness; Plato's Ideal, Spinoza's essence. …you are in the state of "if only." You are looking to be saved from your current circumstances and you are pinning your hopes on something to save you. If only you had a great boss, a great job, more money. If only you had a new man who truly loved you and respected you. If only you could succeed in your field and get some recognition, which then might lead you to more money and that new man. If only, if only, then you would be happy. Finally. At last.

But life does not work this way. And if you are in that state of heightened emotion, because you are pinning your hopes on some particular outcome, then several things will happen. First, you may be so tense, with so many expectations laid on yourself and other people, that you do not perform at your best. Secondly, your expectations and emotional level are so high, that you are bound to crash when challenges arise, and melt into a puddle of disappointment. Again, you did not succeed. Another failed job, another bad relationship, another thing which did not turn out well. Poor me. When will it end?

It ends when you release yourself from this cycle of seeking thrills and emotional highs. It ends when you just live out each day as it is, doing things as they come to you, with a quiet whisper and an objective calm. When you do this, when you follow what seems to be the right thing to do, without undue emotion, just doing it, you will find that you are able to respond to the little signs and signals which are there. After all, why not? You do not have any particular expectations. So if it suddenly seems that it is better to turn right than to go straight, why not?

…Pay attention. Learn to seek these little voices and feelings more than emotional highs. And learn to calm down your emotions, get in a quiet enough state that you can see, hear, sense and feel the other signs which are there for you. It is your choice to ride the emotional highs and the inevitable lows which follow. For yes, that emotional high, rather than being a sign that you have found the right thing (Finally! At last!), is a sign that you are overly attached to the outcome. It is a sign that you are heading for a fall, that you cannot help but become disappointed in the end, for you have built up expectations around an external event, and external events can never deliver.

Allow me to say this again. External events and external people can never deliver what you expect from them. It is impossible, because what you are truly seeking is an internal event. You are truly seeking, in your heart, a deep connection with your own soul self, a connection of peace, with the oneness that is all. You are seeking the great love of the universe, the unending love which is all around you, ever and always. You are seeking it and it is there, but you are displacing your hopes and dreams and putting them upon external events which are both outside your control and which cannot bring you what you seek. You have in your world numerous systems that support taking care of others. Caretaking is a noble process indeed. Often, though, if you continue to catch fish for others, they become dependent on your fishing. It is best to teach others how to fish for themselves and how to garden and grow food. Often those who continue to take care of others get caught up in the role of providing, and mistake this for their identity and purpose. The gods, your ancestors, to a certain degree got trapped in this. They became empowered in their own game as their creations adored and existed for them. But the gods eventually found they were trapped, that they could go no further. …it is not outside yourself that you are looking for a twin flame partner. You are looking for the integration of the female and male essence within yourself. They make one whole. These relationships are not based on “I need you in my life to complete me and validate me.” You become complete in yourself and operate with someone else who is complete in themselves and offers a whole new territory to explore… When you merge these energies together in yourself, it will be imperative that you find someone who has the same qualities. You will not fit with someone who is not integrated and whole.

You will automatically draw whole people to yourself, and it will be effortless. You will be able to plug into one another out of desire and recognition, not out of need. You will achieve something that you never recognized as a possibility in any relationship before, and you will give relationship a very new personality, a new boundary, and a new definition. You will become your own role models for this new type of relationship. Many of you will find that the marriage institution is meaningless. To find your answer, draw from all sources that resonate with your heart; but know that you should never give your Self over to those sources.
